1. Is This System Compatible with My Motorhome?

Compatibility is key. Ensure the levelling system is suitable for your motorhome’s size, weight, and chassis type. Ma-Ve levelling systems are available for all of the main van Chassis including Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Relay, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter and Iveco Daily. Customised systems can also be manufactured by installers with fabrication skills and equipment.

2. What Is the Weight Capacity of the System?

The standard Ma-Ve motorhome system has a total lift capacity of 8 tonnes. Customised systems can lift a total of around 40 tonnes.


3. Does the System Offer Automatic or Manual Control?

The Ma-Ve levelling system will level your motorhome automatically or manually if required.

  • Automatic function – can be configured to any zero point – the could be level or to a position that enables the shower tray to drain properly. There is also a second zero point setting, marked S which is designed as a tank empying function – set it so the side with the tank outlet is lower than the other.
  • Manual Function: You may not need to be perfectly level, just dropping the rams to the floor can take the bounce out of the suspension for an improved nights sleep. Or the system could be used to jack up the vehicle to change a wheel.


4. What Warranty Does the System Come With?

A good warranty reflects the manufacturer’s confidence in their product. 

  • Ma-Ve offers a 3 year warranty on parts and labour – if installed by an official dealer.

  • The waaranty is reduced to 2 years if installed by anyone else.

  • All warranty repairs are carried out by one of our dealers.

  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects, not accidental damage.


5. Can I Install the System Myself, or Is Professional Installation Required?

Professional installation is recomended to ensure proper function and warranty compliance. Installation requires full access to the underside of the vehicle so an inspection pit or vehicle lifts are required.


6. What Maintenance Does the System Require?

  • Visual inspection ever year & an oil change every 3 years.

  • Check oil levels, check for leaks, excessive corrosion on unions and rubbing pipes and cables.

  • The visual inspection can be done during the annual habitation check, levelling service an doil change cost around £200.

yes, If you plan to upgrade your motorhome in the future, the levelling system can be moved. It may requires new brackets, rams or both depending on the vehicles.
